Resource list

Surviving Adolescence with a Drivers Licence

This production explores the issues and reasons why young people are so over-represented in road-accident statistics. Joining us are experts from police, paramedics, psychologists and drug experts, and we gauge the opinion of young people in the streets of Sydney and Byron Bay. The second part tracks families and friends of four teenagers killed in Warwick, QLD — un-emotive, high-impact and confronting as the effect of the issues comes to the screen. Extras include an inspiring interview with paraplegic Bethany Tyson plus extended interviews with drug and alcohol experts, paramedics, police and psychologist Brian Plumber.

COST: $105 inc GST and postage in Australia (14-day money-back policy). Preview in the Youth Issues section.

Through the Eyes of Youth

This DVD is a compilation of youth-issues stories THE CREW has constructed over the years — each typically 5–8 minutes and usable as a discussion starter in the classroom. Issues covered: issues we face growing up, peer-group pressure, binge drinking, the "Friday Rampage" alternative Friday night, the impact of smoking dope, depression, the meaning of life. Includes classroom notes and suggestions on how the resource can be used effectively.
